Every hand lettered Kanji on this 24” x 18” silkscreen print details the Japanese cities that were affected during the Eastern Japan Great Earthquake Disaster of March 11, 2011. The lettering, reading from right to left, and red overlay form the Japanese flag — symbolizing the coexistence of destruction and unity within the country and its people. The LE print is signed/numbered is accompanied with a supplementary print showing the equivalent English translations.
The good folks over at Ligature, Loop & Stem are selling these for me with the proceeds going to charity.
